20 Things to do in Chiang Mai, Thailand Travel Guide Video Transcript:

Today we’re taking you around a city that we’ve been to many times before: Chiang Mai. Located in the heart of Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai is a growing city with laid back vibes, temples sprinkled around every corner, and a foodie scene that will make you drool. This is a destination where you come to unwind and that’s exactly what we did during our month long visit. Now let’s get started with this tour of Chiang Mai (清邁) so you can see what this city is all about:

One of the best things you can do in Chiang Mai is ditch the map and get lost inside the old city. It’s along the quiet back lanes that you’ll find cozy cafes, terracotta gardens, unvisited temples, and a little flavour of the old Chiang Mai.

As you’ve probably figured out, we’re not really into nightlife, but Chiang Mai does have lots of bars where you can enjoy a drink or two. We kept things light with a Chang beer.

And that’s a wrap for our visit to Chiang Mai, Thailand. We hope this video gave you a little taste of what this city is all about. We’ll be the first to tell you that we barely scratched the surface in terms of everything Chiang Mai (清迈) has to offer, but that being said, the goal of our time here was to relax, eat well, see friends, and catch up on work. As always, if you have any other suggestions of things to do, places to visit, and restaurants to eat at, feel free to share those with fellow travellers in the comments below. Until next time!

This is part of our Travel in Thailand video series showcasing Thai food, Thai culture and Thai cuisine.

The new monarch, received the title “His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun” He will also be known as Rama X, the tenth king in the Chakri dynasty that was founded in 1782.

“I would like to accept in order to fulfill his majesty’s wishes and for the benefit of all Thais,” HM King Vajiralongkorn said.

Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha said Thursday night that because of tradition that the throne should not remain vacant, the new king’s reign will be considered as beginning on the day HM King Bhumibol died.

Chonburi’s coast bridge is becoming a popular tourist attraction

Sawasdee Krab,

Chonburi’s new 3.42 kilometre long coast bridge is becoming a new popular tourist spot, and now construction is underway to extend it by additional three kilometres to ease traffic congestion in the town.

President of Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization (PAO) Mr Witthaya Khumpluem disclosed today that the coast bridge which is officially named “Chonlamakvithi 84th Anniversary” is becoming a new tourist attraction among local people and tourists from other provinces.

Apart from being a new route to bypass traffic jams in Chonburi town, he said a large number of tourists came to the rest areas on the coast bridge particularly at weekends to enjoy picnics and experience the surrounding sceneries particularly in the evening.

This prompted the provincial organization to extend the coast bridge by another three kilometres to connect Tambon Samet for traffic and tourism reasons.

He said the coast bridge was built to commence the 84th birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 2011.

The bridge was intended to facilitate motorists to travel and avoid traffic jams in Chonburi town, particularly during rush hours and during the festival seasons

The extension part is scheduled to be finished next year, he said.t30-11-16-1-2t30-11-16-1-1

It was like this on every popular street in Pattaya: Walking Street, Beach Road, LK Metro, Soi 6, So 7, Soi 8. Music was quiet, club girls who dancing every night in the club went outisde and went home slowly. They tried to find a tourist who hadn’t had a girl for night.
