Sawasdee Krab,

There’s more to Thailand than satay, elephants, Buddhism and rice. All the flavours, arts, culture and exotic atmosphere of Thailand will be on show at Darling Harbour on 9 and 10 March for the Thailand Grand Festival 2013. And you can even win flights to Thailand.

Darling Harbour is home to a large number of cultural festivals and none is more colourful and lively than the Thailand Grand Festival. This is the festival’s fourth year and it continues to go from strength to strength. More than 60,000 people are expected to attend thailand-grand-festival2across the two days of the festival, so if you don’t like crowds this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you enjoy happy, festive, cultural events then come along to the party. Songkran, a traditional water festival, is this year’s theme, which seems very topical given our recent weather.
